To assess the potential of managers, we use the Tripod Scales of Mental Abilities and Personal Attributes, designed specifically to assess the competencies of employees at the management level. The questionnaire of personality traits used allows us to assess emotional stability, general activity, relationship orientation, result orientation, general receptivity and openness. Meanwhile, the scale of mental abilities helps to assess the general mental abilities, on which the ability to reason and summarize, acquire new knowledge effectively and solve professional tasks accurately depends. The results of these tests are useful not  in making decisions about choosing the best candidate but also for the manager to better understand and exploit their strengths and develop qualities for improvement.
