

Our client, vArmour is the leading venture-backed provider of Application Relationship Management software designed to enable complex, global enterprises to protect their digital assets, data and themselves as well as further leverage the technology they already own. They are seeking for highly motivated Software Engineers who will be responsible for developing and maintaining features across the vArmour Distributed Security Systems control plan fabric and Application Controller. This role will help reduce the time to resolve customer or field reported issues and build systems and tools to solve the issues in a timely manner. You will also have opportunities to explore cloud security development related work through bug fixes and feature enhancements.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Use your technical and analytical skills to deliver important software features and solve critical customer/field technical escalations
- Work with low level Linux automation engineering
- Collaborate with other software engineers to develop solutions for critical customer use cases and issues
- Work in a fast-paced agile environment with geographically-distributed and cross-functional teams
- Own highly technical customer escalations and clear communication expectations, analysis, and timelines both customers and vArmour leadership
- Build tools and techniques to help with Root Cause Analysis using the data available on system and by digging deep into code base as well as reduce time to resolve product issues by fixing them as needed after RCA
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Experience teams to improve overall customer satisfaction
- Work with Product Management team to identify and implement backlog requirements which could add value to product
QUALIFICATIONS
- C/C++ programming skills in Linux development environment
- Experience with shell scripts, Java, Perl, and Python
- Knowledge of computer networks, socket programming, TCP/IP, firewall, TLS, and other security technologies would be considered as an advantage
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, object-oriented programming, and multi-threaded programming
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with Agile development practices
- Proficient in writing Unit, Component, and Integration tests
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Highly proficient in config management systems such as git
- A team player who works well in collaborative environments
- B.S/M. S in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
