People Link is not just a team of HR consultants, but also a community of responsible, conscious people working together to build a more sustainable world. In our work and in the decisions we make, we rely on strong values and constantly ask ourselves how our actions affect our clients, candidates, employees, suppliers, various communities, the wider society, and the environment we all share.
What began with small steps — sorting waste, giving up Christmas gifts for clients and redirecting that budget to NGOs, and holding to basic principles of respect and transparency — has grown into 6 sustainability directions that we nurture and that guide our commitment to creating as positive an environmental impact as possible.
6 sustainability directions:
Employee wellbeing – To support this direction, we have not only a Wellbeing Manager but also a whole team of wellbeing ambassadors (our employee volunteers) who dedicate their time and energy to building the best possible values-based employee experience, both within our organization and beyond it. A few examples of our projects: for several years now we have focused on burnout prevention; we created an integration system for mothers returning from maternity leave; we introduced an employee growth system (professional and personal), built on coaching principles, and other initiatives.
Harmony in diversity – We both practice and educate others on the possibilities of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within organizations. In our direct work, this is supported by a transparent, non-discriminatory candidate evaluation system and our consultants’ strong background in psychology. We actively participate in women’s integration programs such as “Women Go Tech” and similar initiatives.
Harmony with nature – In response to the growing challenges of climate change and consumption, we strive to keep our operations and everyday activities’ impact on the planet as small as possible. That is why we apply special pricing for circular economy and green energy companies; in 2022, for every successfully completed search, selection, and HR consulting project, we planted 600 trees, and we continuously consider the environmental impact of even small choices — from supplier selection to gifts for employees or clients, and more.
Sustainable community – We think not only about our direct clients — employers — but also about our other important partners: candidates. That is why we engage in various voluntary activities, such as career guidance training for pupils and students; educating people who have lost their jobs on job search and career counselling; publishing a newsletter; and sharing advice in the PlanC Facebook group.
Sustainable business and economy – Contributing to the improvement of Lithuania’s economy and competitiveness matters to us, which is why we are committed to growing our business based on full transparency and on creating greater added value for the communities directly or indirectly connected to our business.
Sustainable society – We regularly provide support and various services to organizations that contribute to our country’s and the world’s social, cultural, and economic well-being. We are glad to be able to help organizations such as:
- “SOS Children’s Villages” – caring for children growing up without parents or who have been neglected
- Association “Lyderė” – addressing gender equality issues at the systemic and policy level
- “Women Go Tech” – encouraging women to retrain for technology careers
- “Kino pavasaris” (Vilnius International Film Festival) – educating the wider public on social issues through film
We also regularly support organizations helping Ukrainian soldiers and citizens:
- Blue Yellow
- The Red Cross
- Association “Lygiai” – we contributed to setting up a mobile gynecological clinic
- VšĮ “Pagalba Ukrainai” (“Aid for Ukraine”)
- VšĮ “Stiprūs kartu” (“Strong Together”)
